Brenda Estrella-Pagan has been appointed principal of Medina Valley Independent District’s newest campus Silos Elementary.
Although Silos Elementary is not slated to open until August 2024, Estrella-Pagan has begun the work that goes into opening a new school. Estrella-Pagan started in her new role in January.
“I am honored to serve as principal for the upcoming school year,” said Estrella-Pagan. “My focus for these next few months will be creating opportunities to spend some time together to ensure all students and families feel at home at our new campus, and to assist in any way possible to ensure a smooth transition.”
In the coming months, she said she hopes to start dialogue with families to get their input regarding their hopes for the upcoming school year, building a culture of belonging.
Estrella-Pagan has served in several roles with Medina Valley ISD. Prior to being named principal of Silos Elementary, Estrella-Pagan was academic dean of Medina Valley High School. She also previously was the vice principal of Potranco Elementary.
